Its never easy to trust a shop you don't know via long distance. My son recently broke down in Coeur D'Alene with an overheating truck and no experience to know how to troubleshoot or fix it. My son called me, I started looking up mechanics near his location and came up with Silverlake Automotive. They had pretty good reviews, and I decided to give them a shot. Glad I did. They reassured me from the get go that they would get to looking at the car as quick as they could, which they did. I got a call the next morning advising me of the problem, and how they would go about fixing it. All their pricing was quite reasonable, and I am grateful for how quickly and efficiently they got the car back to running well. They probably could have given me a story about how it needed this and that to correct a problem, charged me a fortune, and I never would have been the wiser. Instead they found the problem fixed it easily, and got us on our way with the truck within 24 hours with a very reasonable price. These guys are great, they always take care of me and have a shuttle so you don't have to wait around for your car.

These guys are awesome. We were on a road trip driving a Vanagon and broke down. They were able to help us out in a pinch and got us back on the road so we were able to make it home. Their customer service is excellent and their mechanics are professional and thorough. Highly recommend this shop!

My brakes froze up so I had my car towed to Silverlake Automotive in Coeur d'Alene on Hanley Avenue. The brakes loosened up when it was towed. They checked out my car and said it was fine. The guys there didn't charge me anything to check it out! They just said it needs to be driven more as it is my second car. I appreciated their honesty and great service. I usually don't spend my time on reviews unless some place does an exceptional or horrible job. From now on I will definately take both my cars there for service.....

Silverlake Automotive is a great place for total car care! They have an extremely knowledgeable, friendly, honest staff that has provided great service each and every time I go there! The guys at the front desk are always so wonderful, greeting me with a smile, making sure I am informed on any situation with my vehicle and answering any questions I may have in a very professional manner! The mechanics have always done a great job getting my car in at the time of appointment and being honest with any car issues that they may find. I would highly recommend Silverlake Automotive to anyone looking for something as small as an oil change to a new set of brakes! These guys are great! Not to mention, they always have great drinks in their waiting area! :)

I LOVE Silverlake Automotive. I'm a single mom and I don't know anything about automobiles. Fred and the guys at Silverlake Automotive always treat me very well. I know I can trust them to do right by me with honesty and respect. I always bring my automotive maintenance and repair business to these guys.
